House Passes Bill for Year Round E15 Fuel Sales, Splitting Republicans The US House of Representatives has passed a bill allowing year round sales of E15 ethanol fuel.
The legislation, which still requires Senate approval, aims to make it easier for gasoline stations to sell fuel containing up to 15% ethanol throughout the year.
The Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) of 2005 mandated that refiners blend increasing amounts of biofuels into their gasoline.
