The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has agreed to place prominent red hexagonal warnings on the front of food packages highlighting high levels of salt, sugar, and fat.

The FSSAI's two phase implementation plan starts with products containing two or more specified nutrients in excess.
