However, it is here that 65 year old Dr Vincent Brown has been charged with crimes linked to Rwanda's 1994 genocide – a case marking the first time the UK has brought charges related to this atrocity.
The significance of these charges cannot be overstated. For over two and a half decades, those responsible for the systematic murder of hundreds of thousands of Tutsis in Rwanda have largely evaded accountability.
